Trump: Children Will Take Over Family Biz if I Run for President

Billionaire Donald Trump says that if he decides to run for president, his children can run his company.

"I have three children now who are grown and could run it," Trump told Daily Mail Online while in New Hampshire for a forum for potential Republican candidates over the weekend.

"When I looked last time, they really weren't prepared, and they weren't ready," he said, about the time when he was considering running for president in 2011.

"But now they're ready Ivanka and Don and Eric … " clarifying that "my children and my executives" could run The Trump Organization, a real estate company reportedly worth billions of dollars.

Trump announced in March that he was forming an exploratory committee in preparation for a possible run for president in 2016, which allows him to set up offices and hire staff in early primary and caucus states such as Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

At the same time he said that he was not going to renew his contract with NBC to host another season of "The Celebrity Apprentice."

The real estate mogul has also said that if he runs for president, he will self-fund his campaign, which the Daily Mail notes allows for him to take his time in making an official decision compared to other GOP candidates who need to spend time fundraising.
