The American Crossroads super PAC appeared to mock Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz by endorsing her bid for reelection for her House of Representatives position in Florida.

The Washington Examiner reports that the super PAC apparently criticized her performance as DNC chairwoman by saying that the 2014 elections that put the Republican Party in leadership roles in the House and Senate were because of Wasserman Schultz's Democratic leadership.

"Congresswoman and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has played a critical role over the past several years in the massive gains we have achieved at the state level, in the U.S. House, and in the U.S. Senate," the PAC's CEO Steven Law said, according to the Examiner.

Law went on to claim that Wasserman Schultz is the cause of the split between the Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders camps among the Democrats.

"Voters of the 23rd District of Florida should know — American Crossroads stands with Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz in her primary against ultra-liberal outsider Tim Canova, and they should too."

Schultz and Sanders exchanged heated comments after Schultz said Sanders didn’t do enough to condemn his supporters who disrupted the Nevada Democratic Convention, according to the New York Times

Sanders then endorsed Canova, her opponent, according to CNN.

The Washington Post reported that the DNC appeared to be trying to bridge the divide with Sanders by allowing him to name five of the 15 selections to the Democratic convention platform committee, although his delegate count did not call for him to be given that many.
