Nevada Sen. Dean Heller expressed frustration at some of his fellow GOP senators being absent from votes – especially the ones who aren't there because they are spending their time running for other offices, Politico reports.

Heller was especially unhappy after his amendment on a cybersecurity bill failed by two votes.

Four Republican senators who weren't present during the vote were Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky, all running for president, and Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana, who is running for governor.

There is no guarantee the senators would have helped Heller's amendment pass, though Paul, a strong privacy advocate, is mostly likely to have done so.

To add insult to injury, Paul was actually in Heller's state being interviewed on public television about his presidential candidacy.

Heller made sure to note that on Twitter:

"It's frustrating that someone’s back in the state of Nevada … when he could've been here in Washington, D.C., doing what I consider to be much better, much more good work for the people in the state of Nevada than going on some talk show back in the state," Heller told Politico.
