Some House Republicans from California – including Rep. Darrell Issa – are the targets of a new ad blitz pushing for passage of the GOP healthcare plan, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The GOP advocacy group American Action Network announced this week it is running $1.5 million in ads in districts that voted for Hillary Clinton, but that have Republican representatives, to push for the bill's passage; ads will also run during MSNBC’s "Morning Joe."

According to the L.A. Times, seven California Republicans are among the 23 GOP lawmakers nationwide who represent House districts that went for Clinton; more than two dozen GOP defectors would be enough to keep the bill from passing, the newspaper reported.

Besides Issa, who has said he is not prepared to support the GOP measure yet, other Republicans being targeted by the ads include Rep. Jeff Denham and Rep. David Valadao, both of whom have not committed yet to support the GOP plan.

Rep. Mimi Walters is the only California Republican who's indicated she'll support the bill, the LA Times reported.
