New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner on Monday dropped the biggest hint yet that Hillary Clinton has made her mind up to run for president in 2016 — suggesting that his wife Huma Abedin will work for her campaign.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Weiner was asked if he knew what Abedin's role will be in Clinton's campaign, although she hasn't publicly decided whether she's running.

"I do," Weiner replied. Asked what that role will be, Weiner responded, "I'm not telling you."

Abedin has worked for Clinton ever since being assigned to the then-First Lady as an intern in 1996. At her wedding to Weiner, Clinton said, "I only have one daughter. But if I had a second daughter, it would be Huma."

During the BuzzFeed interview, Weiner, who resigned from the House in 2011 after sending risqué messages to several women, again admitted that he continued to have contact with other women even after his resignation.

He acknowledged that his behavior has caused pain for his wife. "I feel that what I’ve done has hurt her, yeah," he said. "It’s hurt her professionally, it’s hurt her personally."

Weiner said he is still receiving therapy for his problems. "Apparently you never go out of therapy. They just have this thing where you just remain in forever, but I still see a therapist sometimes," he said.

Weiner has slipped badly in the polls since the revelation that he had continued to send inappropriate text messages to women. A Siena college poll released Monday showed he had a disapproval rate of 80 percent — and it even stood at 77 percent among Democrats.

But he told BuzzFeed he is still confident about winning the race to be mayor of the country's largest city. He said that by this time next year "of course" he would be living in the mayor's official residence Gracie Mansion.
