Comscore: Newsmax No. 1 in Nation for News/Politics

Newsmax Media, a leading independent publisher, has announced that its flagship website, Newsmax.com, has reached the No. 1 position in comScore’s News/Politics category.

Of the 61 million Americans comScore tracks seeking political news across all digital platforms, more than 13 million monthly unique visitors turned to Newsmax.com's political sites, exceeding such competitors as HuffPost Politics and Fox News Politics in March.

According to a comScore March report released recently on the websites in the News/Politics category, Newsmax received 13.3 million monthly unique visitors in March, up from 10.5 million the previous month. HuffPost Politics received 12.8 million monthly unique visitors, and Fox News Politics received 11.1 million monthly unique visitors in March, respectively.

Following these in March was NBC News.com Politics at 9 million monthly unique visitors; CNN Politics at 7.8 million monthly unique visitors; Current TV at 5.6 million monthly unique visitors; Politco.com at 5.2 million monthly unique visitors; The Economist Group at 4.9 million monthly unique visitors; TheHill.com at 2.8 million monthly unique visitors; and Mother Jones.com at 1.7 million monthly unique visitors.

These new metrics from comScore represent Newsmax’s total multiplatform numbers, including online, tablets and mobile-phone views and users.
