Comedian Stephen Colbert will be in Charleston, S.C. for a private fundraiser for his sister, Elizabeth Colbert Busch, who is running in the March 19 Democratic primary for the state's First Congressional District.

The event will be held on Feb. 23 at a Charleston-area bowling alley, reports The Charleston Post and Courier. Donors contributing $250 will enjoy a general reception and bowling, while donors giving between $1,000 and $2,600 will enjoy a private reception with photos and a book signing.

A private dinner at an undisclosed location will be held for those contributors giving at least $5,200.

On Wednesday Colbert joked about his sister's campaign on “The Colbert Report,” broadcast on Comedy Central. He gave several Republicans in the race goofy nicknames, but he didn't mention his sister's Democratic primary competition, Martin Skelly and Ben Frasier.

“As a broadcast journalist,” Colbert said on the show, “I’m obligated to maintain pure objectivity. It doesn’t matter that my sister is intelligent, hard-working, compassionate and dedicated to the people of South Carolina. I will not be mentioning any of that on my show.”
