"Almost all" of Washington's federal intelligence agencies have become mired in leftist political agendas and are working against the White House, former Rep. Tom Tancredo told Newsmax TV.
For example, the Colorado Republican said he was puzzled by FBI Director James Comey's declaration at Monday's House Intelligence Committee hearing on Russian interference in the election that Russian President Vladimir Putin disliked Hillary Clinton, but favored Donald Trump.

"I guess I'd say that it's a strange admission, I suppose, from Comey," Tancredo told host Steve Malzberg on Monday's "America Talks Live." "Because what is it about Clinton? Did he go on to explain what they disliked about her?
"There's something about that guy and really and truly . . . I believe that one of the most dangerous things happening in the United States today is the politicization of these agencies. Not just the FBI, but almost all of our security agencies. Something is happening in that regard."
Tancredo said over time, the nation's intelligence agencies have become "populated by Obama appointees and by people who have come out of schools that have been, of course, leftist for many years."
"This is a terrible, terrible thing to happen in this country . . . [and has] a Banana Republic aspect," he told Malzberg. "These agencies are politicized and many of them are working against the incumbent president of the United States. This is unconscionable."
