Ex-FBI Agent: Stopping Cyber Attacks Big Challenge in 2015

Citizens must be vigilant in 2015 about the threat of cyber-attacks that could cripple the United States, former Navy SEAL and FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam says.

"It doesn't matter if you're super rich or super poor, cyber attacks are the great equalizers of the economy or any economic status that you may have," Gilliam said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"They will target you and take what you have and if you don't have anything, they'll still go after your credit cards and your cell phone information.

"Along with freedom comes comfort, but comfort kills if you don't educate yourself on a daily basis of what's going on — letting your guard down."

Last year, Hollywood was hit a major cyber attack when hackers, believed by the FBI to be North Koreans, infiltrated the computers of Sony Pictures Entertainment and released embarrassing memos and confidential salary information.
