John Zogby: Despite Victories, Cruz's Future Unclear

By    |   Wednesday, 02 Mar 2016 12:23 AM

Even though Ted Cruz won two states on Super Tuesday, "it's hard to see where Ted Cruz goes from here," pollster John Zobgy told Newsmax TV.

"He won his home state, and he won it decisively," Zogby told host J.D. Hayworth during the Newsmax TV Super Tuesday coverage in an interview. "He won a neighboring state, which was Oklahoma, which he won decisively.

"But I'm just not sure where he goes from here — and I don’t understand the logic of the argument that it is good to keep Donald Trump and that it's good to keep Ted Cruz on their toes by having another candidate in the race."

"One way or another, if there is going to be a way to stop Donald Trump, it's going to have to be one candidate going against Donald Trump," Zogby said. "If there is going to be an alternative to Donald Trump, then at what point do opposition-to-Trump Republicans get to make their one choice?

"Right now, this is still, by any account, a big night for Mr. Trump."
