Gen. Vallely: House Intel Leaders Complicit In Benghazi Cover-up

By    |   Tuesday, 25 Nov 2014 01:04 PM

The Benghazi report released by the House Intelligence Committee from Chairman Mike Rogers and ranking Democrat Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger shows that they are complicit in the Benghazi cover-up, Ret. Gen. Paul Vallely tells Newsmax.

"They're complicit in the cover-up here, and when you see what happened before Benghazi, on the day of Benghazi and afterwards and the stand down orders that three members of the annex got that were with those brave Americans that were killed there at the end," it will show that there was a cover-up by the Obama administration, Vallely told John Bachman on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Tuesday.

"This is an absolute embarrassment," he added.

The House Intelligence Committee released a report Friday detailing its conclusion on the Benghazi attack, which said that neither the CIA, military or Obama administration officials were at fault for the response to the attack, in which four Americans were killed including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Vallely said that he agrees with the sentiment expressed by South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham when he said that the report is "full of crap."

"It was a Friday afternoon dump and it certainly should be put in the dump file as Sen. Graham said," he contends.

"I'm a member of the Benghazi Citizens Commission out of Washington along with Accuracy in Media and Judicial Watch, and I can tell you our investigation over the last year and a half completely will debunk the House Intelligence report by Mike Rogers and Ruppersberger." he explained.

The report he referenced is scheduled to be released Tuesday, which he said will debunk "everything that intelligence committee came out with."

According to Vallely, neither Rogers nor House Speaker John Boehner waned the House Benghazi Select Committee, but they "were forced into it much by our citizens commission."

He contends that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, who is heading up that committee, "does have all the information."

"Once he starts the interviews and the hearings, which will be around the second week of December, he needs to get to the bottom of this, but it's going to completely debunk that report that came out last Friday by Mike Rogers," he predicts.

"Rogers is going to be very embarrassed that he came out with this report," he said.

Vallely contends that the Obama administration's handling of what happened during the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya is just another example of a cover-up by the administration.

"You can look at Fast and Furious, you can look at the IRS and it seems that's their modus operandi — do things behind the back of the American people then when they're confronted with it they seem to cover it up," he explained.

"It's a pattern there in this administration, and it's horrible that America's got to this point," he said.
