Uber "predates" Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, but her plans to change laws concerning independent contractors would make the ride-sharing service illegal, Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist told Newsmax TV on Friday.

"That's 400,000 people who make a living driving Uber cars — and she wants to make it illegal," he told "The Hard Line" host Ed Berliner. "She's still in a taxi cab commission world.

"She's in a pre-conceal-carry world in her head — and the same thing with energy. She thinks she's insulting Louisiana" by opposing fracking.

"It's not that she didn't learn the lesson," Norquist added, referring to the damaging policies of the Bill Clinton White House. "She just learned a lesson from 30 years ago that isn't true anymore."
