WH Dossier's Koffler: Some in Obama's Coalition Are 'Unwilling'

No sooner did President Barack Obama announce a multi-national effort to wipe out the Islamic State than some purported allies — notably England and Germany — quickly ruled out airstrikes by their own forces, White House Dossier editor Keith Koffler told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

"Obama has assembled a coalition of the unwilling," Koffler, a veteran White House correspondent, told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner.

Koffler also said that the president, in his prime-time address on Wednesday detailing new military actions against the Islamic State, or ISIS, came across as "a little delusional."

"He thinks that we are fighting a counter-terrorism war against ISIS," said Koffler. "ISIS has at least 10,000 — maybe tens of thousands more — troops under arms. That's a war. That's not a counterterrorism action. And he kept trying to portray it as that."
