Reporter: Obama Lacks 'Backbone' for All-Out ISIS Attack

Monday, 13 Oct 2014 02:23 PM

The Obama administration lacks the "backbone" to launch an all-out assault on the Islamic State (ISIS), says Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief and senior staff reporter for World News Daily.

"It's just that there seems to be no strategy other than chaos and then a few bombing campaigns here and there that ISIS is mocking," Klein said Monday on the "Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Meanwhile, you have thousands upon thousands of jihadists, including foreign jihadists, [flocking] to ISIS, including from the U.K., including even from the United States.

"[It's a] major problem, and so far it seems we do not have the backbone to do anything real about it."

Klein — who hosts "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on Salem Talk Radio and is author of "The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don't Want You to Know," published by WND Books — praised Kurdish forces for conducting the ground war against ISIS.

They desperately need reinforcements to continue the job, he added.

"Actually, the Kurdish forces are doing a very good job at fighting, but they are yelling, kicking and screaming, literally protesting, including in the last 24-48 hours in Turkey, for more help," Klein said.

"They say they're not getting it, and if you look at the coalition that we're depending upon, we, the United States, the Western bad country, we're talking about Qatar, which has been accused behind the scenes of actually aiding some elements of ISIS. We don't even know what side they're on."

Klein said Middle Eastern security officials told him that Turkey is providing logistical support and satellite imagery to the Islamic State fighters, particularly in areas where the Kurds are operating.

"Look at the United States, look at the Obama administration, they won't send ground forces, which is the only thing that will actually do something to defeat ISIS," he said.

"And yet now my understanding is that we're going to send up to 4,000 U.S. forces [to fight Ebola]."
