Downloading Donald Trump's app "America First" means the campaign not only will have data about the user, but it also exposes every contact on the downloader's phone, ABC News reports.

And those contacts will have no idea their information is in the hands of the Trump campaign, according to ABC News.

The Trump campaign is "basically saying he has the right to pull down the contact list of the donors and supporters [using the app], which is something that is really very controversial," Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, told ABC News.

"America First," which hit Apple and Google app stores last week, differs from Hillary Clinton's app in that her app only mines data of the person using the app.

ABC News reported that in addition to contact information, the kind of data that could end up for Trump's campaign to see include:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Codes
  • Passwords
  • Bits of emails
  • Health information

Craig Spiezle of the Online Trust Alliance told ABC News Trump's policy was "very problematic."

"It's not one that privacy or consumer advocates would consider reasonable," Spiezle said.
