A second technology company under investigation in the Hillary Clinton email scandal raised concerns this summer that the former secretary of state's account was vulnerable to hackers, according to news reports.

Officials at the company, Datto Inc., were worried about the "sensitive high-profile nature of the data," a company source told The Washington Post.

Datto, based in Norwalk, Conn., then shared the issue with Platte River Networks, the primary contractor on the account, but the Denver-based firm said it was told by the FBI to make no upgrades to Clinton's account.

The Datto official told the Post that no evidence existed that the company’s systems had been hacked.

The FBI is investigating both technology companies in the Clinton email scandal.
