Fighting broke out between people supporting or opposing President Donald Trump at a park in downtown Berkeley, Calif., Saturday – the second clash between the groups in recent weeks.

The San Jose Mercury News reported that the demonstrators brawled near Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park, and fireworks were tossed into the crowds.

CNN reported at least 13 people were arrested; two people were injured, Berkeley Police spokesman Byron White told CNN.

Police said also there was reported use of pepper spray being used in the crowd, the Mercury News reported.

According to the news outlet, Trump backers and alt-right activists were holding a "free speech" rally at the park, when anti-Trump protesters headed to the same spot. "Hundreds" ultimately converged on the park, the Mercury News reported.

A March 4 rally and counter-protest, planned by several of the same groups involved in Saturday's clash, resulted in injuries and arrests.

In February, a scheduled appearance by former Breitbart News editor and provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos at UC Berkeley was canceled after protesters threw rocks, broke windows and set fires outside the student union building.
