During his visit to Israel, President Donald Trump will stay in an "armored suite" in Jerusalem's King David Hotel that is capable of withstanding nearly any kind of attack, The Hill reported Saturday.

The suite, which normally costs $5,700 per night, is equipped to withstand bombs, gas attacks, bullets and rocket-propelled grenades, NBC News reported Friday.

"The level of security will be at its highest," an Israeli police told NBC News. "It is a top priority that there is close coordination with the U.S., making sure the visit goes exactly according to plan."

Balloons floating above the hotel will watch for suspicious activity and bomb-seeking robots will roam in the sewers beneath the building. The room was constructed to withstand the entire collapse of the building, according to hotel manager Sheldon Ritz.

"If the whole hotel blows up the suite will come down in one piece, so maybe a few broken bones, but they will be alive," said Ritz.

The suite is part of a massive security operation for Trump and his 1,000-person entourage during his visit to Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Trump and his family will also have food testers, and 10,000 police officers will be deployed in Jerusalem, a city both Israel and the Palestinian Authority claim as their capital.

The hotel, which at the time was the British military headquarters, was the scene of a 1946 bombing by Zionist militants that left 91 dead and 46 injured. Israel, created in 1948, annexed East Jerusalem in 1967.

President Donald Trump initially said he wanted to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, currently Israel's recognized capital. He has since backed off any impending move over fears it would cause controversy and hinder peace talks with Palestine.
