President Donald Trump's aide Omarosa Manigault called for equal coverage — and respect — of Friday's March for Life as the media gave to last weekend's Women's March on Washington, in which protests of Trump's inauguration took place.

"There is a march going on right now, the March for Life, that I hope that you all will give the same type of coverage," Manigault told ABC's "The View" on Friday.

"That same freedom should be afforded to all Americans."

Manigault's call came after "The View" panel asked about how she felt the Women's March as an African American woman and a presidential aide for Trump. Manigault responded, she is an "American first."

"Seeing those women march last week, it made me very proud," Manigault added. "It's one of the most important, fundamental rights that we have in this country.

"The right to assemble, the freedom of speech, and the right to protest. I love seeing that."

Manigault was nonplussed about the coverage and divisiveness of the Women's March in the media, and continued the above call for the coverage and peaceful tolerance of the March of Life. At the annual pro-life rally Friday, Vice President Mike Pence told the crowd President Trump will "work with the Congress to end taxpayer funding of abortion."

Manigault, who appeared on Trump's first season of "The Apprentice" in 2004, is a former Democrat, President Barack Obama voter, and aide for Vice President Al Gore during President Bill Clinton's administration. She led African-American voter outreach during Trump's campaign and was named assistant to the president and director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison earlier this month.
