Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will meet with conservative media representatives to address reports the social media site allegedly suppressed conservative-leaning news stories in the site's "Trending Topics" sections.

Conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck and host of Fox News' "The Five," Dana Perino, are among the list of those who have confirmed they will attend, according to CNN.

Beck, who founded The Blaze in 2011, announced in a Facebook post Sunday that "Mark wanted to meet with 8 or 10 of us to explain what happened and assure us that it won't happen again."

Adding, "it would be a win for all voices if we can come to a place of real trust with this powerful tool."

The talk-show host said he supported Facebook's right to go about its business "any way they desire," and it would be "wonderful" if the company "independently chose to hold up freedom of speech and freedom of association as a corporate principle."

After the tech site Gizmodo posted a story alleging the anti-conservative bias against sites including Newsmax, Breitbart, and Washington Examiner, Facebook's vice president of search, Tom Stocky, said he had not found any evidence the allegations were true.

Last Thursday, Zuckerberg invited "leading conservatives and people from across the political spectrum" to meet and discuss the controversy, reports CNN.

Other invitees who have confirmed they will attend the meeting are Arthur Brooks of the American Enterprise Institute, CNN conservative commentator SE Cupp, and Zac Moffatt, co-founder of the technology firm Targeted Victory, who was the digital director of Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign, according to CNN.

Facebook confirmed that Barry Bennett, a Donald Trump aide, also is attending.

Cupp sent a tweet announcing she would be attending the meeting:

"I'm going in with an open mind and an eagerness to learn more," Cupp said, according to CNN. "I'm sure we'll find plenty to talk about."
