Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Justice for all records detailing then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch's meeting with former President Bill Clinton at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport in June 2016.

The conservative watchdog group said it was forced to file suit after the Justice Department failed to respond to a request seeking all records and transcripts of the meeting between the two. Judicial Watch noted Lynch and Clinton met onboard parked plane during the then-ongoing investigation of Hillary's Clinton's email server.

In a statement, Judicial Watch said: "Lynch later admitted that the meeting with Bill Clinton 'cast a cloud' over the Justice Department/FBI investigation. Not long afterward, FBI Director James Comey called Hillary Clinton's actions 'extremely careless' but did not recommend charges."

And Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton added: "The infamous tarmac meeting between President Clinton and AG Lynch is a vivid example of why many Americans believe the Obama administration's criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton was rigged.

"Now it will be up to Attorney General (Jeff) Sessions at the Trump Justice Department to finally shed some light on this subversion of justice."

Lynch has said she "regretted" her conversation with Clinton, Fox News reported.

"I wish I had seen around that corner and not had that discussion with the former president, as innocuous as it was, because it did give people concern," Lynch said
