Republican presidential candidate John Kasich's campaign released a national online video Tuesday slamming front-runner Donald Trump's rhetoric as "dangerous and bad for America."

Transposing images of Trump and news headlines featuring his recent comments, retired Air Force Col. Tom Moe, who was a prisoner of war in Vietnam, offered "thoughts" that paraphrased the Rev. Martin Niemöller, the German anti-Nazi pastor who later strongly protested against war.

Moe, who was held captive with now-Arizona Sen. John McCain, made the remarks at a press conference Monday in Columbus, Ohio, the Kasich for American campaign said.

Trump began campaigning in the Buckeye State on Monday.

"You might not care if Donald Trump says that Muslims should register with their government because you're not one," Moe says in the video.

"And you might not care if Donald Trump says that he's going to round up all the Hispanic immigrants because you're not one."

"You might not care if Donald Trump says that it's OK to rough up black protesters, because you're not one," Moe says as the video shows footage of a Black Live Matter protestor being beaten by Trump supporters at a rally Saturday in Birmingham, Ala.

Then, displaying footage of Univision anchor Jorge Ramos being escorted from a Trump news conference in Iowa in August, Moe says: "You might not care if Donald Trump wants to suppress journalists because you're not one.

"But think about this," Moe concludes, "If he keeps going, and he actually becomes president, he just might get around to you — and you better hope there's someone left to help you."

The spot then ends with close-up images of Trump before fading to a black screen.
