Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel got choked up at the end of his monologue Tuesday discussing the killing of Cecil the Lion at a Zimbabwe sanctuary, but conservative pundits note they aren't seeing similar tears for the aborted babies seen in the recent undercover Planned Parent videos.

Video of an emotional Kimmel talking about Cecil was posted onto YouTube:

Talk radio hosts Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday both noted that while the killing of the beloved lion is sad, liberals seem far less concerned about other problems, including abortion.

"Jimmy Kimmel cries over the story?!? This is what he connects with? This is what the West finds important?" Beck, who is off the air on medical leave, wrote on his Facebook page.

"How about the baby parts sold by planned parenthood!? What about the cold slaughter of innocents? The illegal sale of their organs?" Beck continued.

Limbaugh sounded a similar tone on Wednesday, telling his radio audience, "I love Cecil the lion. I understand it. I understand crying. … But how in the world can you get teary-eyed and misty-eyed and sad over Cecil and, at the same time, participate in burying what's happening at Planned Parenthood?"

Beck had more sympathy for the hunter, Minnesota dentist Walter James Palmer, who says he thought the hunt was legal, and is now in hiding as people have come out against him on the Internet. Some have said he should be executed.

"Are the doctors or directors of PP who are responsible for killing MILLIONS in hiding for their safety?" he wrote.

Limbaugh fell in the camp of those who didn't sympathize with Palmer, saying, "I don't care whether he was a dentist from Minnesota or a terrorist from ISIS, it is senseless to be let onto a game preserve … with a bow and arrow and think you are engaging in sport while you kill a lion."

"We should feel bad about the lion and if it was an illegal kill then the government in Africa should take the appropriate steps to protect the animals," Beck wrote. "Now what about PP? What about the genocide in Syria?"

We are now a "people that are on the wrong side of history. A people who apparently are hell bent on their own destruction," Beck said. "We do not survive when we care more about one animal than millions of humans."

Babies in the womb are the "pure definition of innocence," Limbaugh said, but people can't see pictures of them like they do of Cecil and don't have the same connection.

Greg Gutfeld, co-host of Fox News Channel's "The Five," said Kimmel didn't make a "brave stance" as some claim.

"There are Africans who are dying," he said. "We just did a very heated topic on these Planned Parenthood videos. And he's getting choked up about a lion."

Gutfeld called Kimmel's words "easy outrage" because he knows no one will disagree with him.

"There are serious outrages out there that are bigger than a lion," he said.
