Jeb Bush responded to reports that his father, George H.W. Bush, will vote for Hillary Clinton in November by neither confirming nor denying the claims.

Bush did, however, take a shot at the person who first said the former president will switch allegiances and vote for the Democrat in this race.

Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend posted a photo on Facebook last month that showed her shaking Bush's hand. "The President told me he's voting for Hillary!!" she wrote.

"I thought for a person to overhear a frail, 92-year-old man in a private setting at a reception for the Points of Light Foundation, which focuses on volunteerism, to hear this and then immediately go on Facebook and put it on there, and go on national television and not even show up at the board meeting," Jeb Bush told NBC News Thursday.

"I thought that was inappropriate."

Bush also told the network he hasn't yet made up his mind about who he'll select on his ballot when he enters the voting booth in Nov. 8.

"I haven't made up my mind what I'm going to do — I'm going to vote and I've made it clear I'm not going to vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton," Bush said. "I'm not derelict in my civic duties, I'm going to vote, but the presidency is a place where, for whatever reason, I'm not comfortable supporting either party's nominee."

When asked what would happen if the entire country decided to abstain from voting, he said: "Well, if everybody didn't vote, that would be a pretty powerful political statement, wouldn't it?"

The New York Daily News reported this week that Bush was urging people to support Libertarian Gary Johnson in the race.

Reporters have stumped Johnson in recent interviews when he was asked about Aleppo, Syria and world leaders.
