Wednesday, 02 Feb 2011 06:56 AM

CAIRO - Internet access has resumed in the Egyptian cities of Cairo and Alexandria after five days of cut connections, Internet users reported on Wednesday. Access to the Internet has been cut since Jan. 28 in what appeared to be an attempt to stop the frenzied online spread of dissent during a wave of nationwide protests against President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year-rule.
