A cable news channel is coming under fire for blurring a Donald Trump supporter's t-shirt that mentioned the presidential candidate's name.

HLN, which is owned by Turner Broadcasting and is a sister station of CNN, originally aired an interview with a man who saved the life of a 4-month-old child without censoring his pro-Trump shirt. But when the interview was replayed an hour later, the messaging on his t-shirt was blurred out.

The man, retired New Jersey police officer Steve Eckel, rescued a baby who was trapped in a car. HLN interviewed him about what he did.

The Washington Free Beacon posted a YouTube video that shows portions of the original and altered versions.

A network spokesman told The Hill the censoring was a mistake.

"We blurred the logo and shouldn't have; it was done in error," the spokesman said.

Earlier this week, CNN was criticized for omitting the word "crooked" in an on-air graphic that incorporated a tweet from Trump about Hillary Clinton.
