Hillary Clinton, whose email scandal plagued her failed presidential campaign last year, was spotted reading a newspaper that carried a front-page headline about Vice President Mike Pence's use of a private email address while he was governor of Indiana.

Caitlin Quigley, who works for an LGBTQ healthcare center, took the photo on a flight from Boston's Logan Airport to New York City's LaGuardia Airport. She shared it with people on the plane, and the image soon went viral because of its irony.

Another tweet shows the image flipped up so the headline on the USA Today paper is facing the right way:

Quigley told The Huffington Post Clinton was sitting in coach next to her longtime aide Huma Abedin. Quigley said she took a "stealth shot" so Clinton or Abedin would not see her snapping the photo. After showing the image to "six people sitting around me who saw [she] had it," the photo became a social media sensation.

Clinton used a private email address and server when she was secretary of state in the Obama administration. Experts say fallout from the scandal played a large role in her loss to Donald Trump in the presidential election last fall.
