Greta Van Susteren Says MSNBC Show Will Be 'Fair and Balanced'

Former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren said her new show on MSNBC will be "fair and balanced."

"It's going to be about facts," Van Susteren told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program Monday. "I'm going to ask questions, and how the chips fall, they may fall.

"I'm hoping to also do some unfinished business," she continued. "There were stories that I started that I was never able to finish," such as the current status of the girls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

"We're going to be on the edge of the news, what's happening. We're going to be talking about the hearings this week," referencing confirmation hearings for President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees.

Van Susteren said she expected Sen. Jeff Sessions to gain confirmation as attorney general, but not without a struggle.

"I think his nose is going to be bloodied by some of the things that have occurred over the years," she said.

Last Thursday, MSNBC announced it had hired Van Susteren to host a daily, Washington-based news program.

"For the Record" will air Monday at 6 p.m. E.T.
