Facebook is looking to hire someone with 20 years of experience in the news industry to act as its liaison with news organizations, according to Business Insider.

The job listing, posted on Facebook, is titled "Head of News Partnerships" and the position involves "serving as the company's leading representative with news organizations worldwide."

The person who takes the job will also be the "public-facing voice" of Facebook and help the social media giant work better with the news media.

"The day-to-day responsibilities of the News Partnerships team include: manage relationships with news organizations; develop strategies and programs that foster greater collaboration and alignment between Facebook and news organizations; solicit and incorporate feedback from news organizations on product development and prioritization and; clearly communicate and foster transparent dialogue with news organizations globally."

According to Business Insider, the job could help the company deal with the problem of fake news stories being spread widely across the site.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he was working on ways to combat fake news.

"The bottom line is: we take misinformation seriously. We take this responsibility seriously. We've made significant progress, but there is more work to be done," he said, according to CNN Money.
