Ed Royce: 'Are We Doing Enough' to Stop Terror Attacks?

Rep. Ed Royce said he thinks laws will be changed in Great Britain and Canada to stop the sort of homegrown terrorist attacks seen this week in Canada.

The California Republican and chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee told CNN's "Erin Burnett Out Front" on Wednesday that he had talked to a member of the Canadian Parliament, who said Michael Zehaf-Bibeau drove right up to the front of the Parliament building and walked in shooting after fatally gunning down a Canadian soldier nearby.

"I think all of us have to ask, are we doing enough?" Royce said.

One of the challenges, Royce said, is that officials are trying to monitor and follow persons with jihadist intentions and catch them in the act.

"I think laws may be changed a bit" and more resources used, Royce told CNN.

In an attack on Monday in Quebec, a convert to Islam ran over two soldiers with his car, killing one. That man had been on a watch list and his passport had been revoked after he was identified as a possible jihadist.
