Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly arranged a secret meeting between President-elect Donald Trump and the heads of Israel's spy agency and its national security council.

According to Ynet News, the director of the Mossad, Yossi Cohen, visited the United States to meet with Trump's staff and brief them on security issues — including the Iranian nuclear deal, the Syrian civil war and terror threats.

The outlet did not say when the sit-down occurred.

Also discussed was a Palestinian bid to the United Nations' Security Council that aims to label West Bank settlements as illegal and "implicitly" calls on the international community to boycott Israel, Ynet News reported.

The proposal is expected to come up for a vote before President Barack Obama leaves office Jan. 20.

Israel's National Security Council head Yaakov Nagel and the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, also attended meetings, Ynet News reported.
