A Russian film studio has offered Hollywood megastar Leonardo DiCaprio a chance to play Russian Communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, the U.K. Independent reports.

DiCaprio said in a recent interview that there are several Russians he would like to play, including Lenin, Grigori Rasputin and current Russian President Vladmir Putin.

"I think there should be more films about Russian history because it has many stories worthy of Shakespeare," DiCaprio said. "That is fascinating for an actor."

LeninFilm, one of Russia's oldest film studios, heard about the comments and is offering the Golden Globe winner a chance to make his dream come true.

"It is always interesting to make movies. Leonardo DiCaprio is often compared to Lenin in his youth," LeninFilm spokesman Valeriy Karlov told Baltika FM. "We have enough scenery and props to recreate the era of the revolution."
