BRUSSELS —European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso received unanimous support Thursday from European Union leaders in his bid for a second five-year term.
Barroso, a former Portuguese prime minister, has pledged his commitment to efforts to pull Europe out of economic crisis and fight global warming, among major issues he would continue to tackle after the European Parliament approves his new term next month.
