Sen. Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, was recuperating on Tuesday from successful surgery for early stage prostate cancer, his spokesman said in a statement.
"The surgery was a success and Senator Dodd is doing well," said his spokesman Bryan DeAngelis in a statement.
"He will remain in the hospital for a few days. After a brief recuperation at home with his family, he is looking forward to getting back to work later this month on behalf of the people of Connecticut," DeAngelis said.
