Although the field for the Republican presidential nomination remains far from certain, one thing in Florida is clear: Former Gov. Jeb Bush would lead the pack in the Sunshine State if he ran, according to a Public Policy Polling survey.

Bush, who has said repeatedly that he doesn’t plan to run for the White House in 2012, would garner 30 percent of likely Republican primary voters, according to the March 24-27 poll of 427 usual Republican voters.

That contrasts with 14 percent each for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Following that knot at 14 percent are former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, with 9 percent; Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota at 5 percent; and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas; and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, each at 4 percent.

Without Bush in the race, Huckabee, Romney, and Gingrich get 18 percent each. Palin would get 15 percent support; Bachmann, 7 percent; Paul and Pawlenty, 6 percent; and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour would get 3 percent of the support.
