The Dutch film producer who leapt onto the Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a U.S.-bound airliner on Christmas Day says he wrote a script eight years ago about a failed suicide attack on Amsterdam's airport, the same place from which the plane took off.
Jasper Schuringa says in Thursday's edition of the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad he wrote the script titled "Destination Amsterdam" about a suicide bomber whose explosives fail to go off at Schiphol Airport.
Schuringa has been hailed as a hero for jumping on Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab after the Nigerian allegedly tried to detonate explosives he had concealed in his underwear.
Both men were among 289 passengers and crew on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 to Detroit.
