Cheney: 'I Worship the Ground Paul Ryan Walks On'

While some Republicans have urged House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan to compete for the Republican presidential nomination, others say he should stick to his current knitting. The argument is that he can do more for the country and his party in that role. Former Vice President Dick Cheney represents a forceful proponent of that view, according to FuelFix.com.

Dick Cheney, Paul Ryan“I worship the ground the Paul Ryan walks on,” Cheney said in Houston Wednesday during one of his infrequent public appearances. “I hope he doesn’t run for president because that would ruin a good man who has a lot of work to do.”

The budget that Ryan drafted, which was approved in the Republican controlled-House but rejected in the Democrat-controlled Senate, has drawn controversy for its plan to cut Medicare spending.
