In two years, a new non-invasive technology will be available that will allow the detection of cancer in its earliest stages when it is most curable. The method will use a simple blood sample.
“It is based on nano-technology,” said Dr. Ajay Singhal, a Ph.D. in nano-science and the CEO of xGenetics, Inc. “All you have to do is take blood samples and subject them to a series of tests and any kind of cancerous cells could be detected in the early stages.”
Singhal hopes the new technology will help poor people worldwide get quicker, more accurate cancer diagnoses. “According to World Health Organization studies, the majority of cancer cases are detected only in the advanced stages which make treatment very difficult.”
Besides detecting cancer in the earliest stages, the new technology, which has been patented, will also eliminate the need for many painful and often invasive biopsies.
