“Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz, 27, has suffered his second mini-stroke in less than a year.

Muniz, who starred in the popular FOX comedy from 2000 to 2006, tweeted: “Almost a year to the day, I experienced another mini-stroke. Hopefully that will be the last. Miserable."

He had his first mini-stroke on Nov. 30, 2012. After speculation about the cause, Muniz told “Good Morning America” that he didn’t drink or use drugs. “I’ve never even smoked a cigarette,” he said.

A mini-stroke, also known as a transient ischemic attack or TIA, occurs when there is a disruption of blood flow to the brain. Unlike a major stroke, the symptoms of a TIA can resolve after only a few minutes. However, brain injury may still occur.
