Acne is a major health problem among teenagers. About 90 percent of teenagers suffer from pimples due to the high testosterone levels in their blood. They advise sunscreen to avoid picking and the use of vitamin E initially to prevent the scars from becoming worse.
 
People suffering from acne and acne scars often try home remedies to reduce pigmentation and pimple scars. Aloe vera is one of the commonest remedies used for pimple treatment. Another excellent home remedy for scars is to apply nutmeg paste for a few minutes over the affected regions. Sandalwood is reputed to be one of the best herbal remedies for pimple and scar treatment. Most of the face packs available in the market contain this ingredient. If dandruff is the cause of the acne, then lemon juice, vinegar, or sour curd are applied over the pimples and on the scalp. Applying tomato pulp on the skin helps dry the pimples. This remedy has to be repeated many times to heal the pimples.
