Does It Matter When I Take My Statin?

By    |   Friday, 20 Jun 2014 09:58 AM

Question: I have high cholesterol and been taking Crestor. But I'm not sure if I should take it in the morning, midday, or evening? Does it even matter?

Dr. Hibberd's answer:

Actually, it does matter. There's pretty good evidence that evening use of statin agents provides the most efficient reductions in cholesterol production.

So take your Crestor each night before going to bed.
