How Long Will I Live?

Thursday, 06 Sep 2012 09:45 AM

Question: My mother died young and my father lived until almost 100. I know longevity is genetic. Is there any way to tell which parent I will take after?

Dr. Hibberd's answer:

As you have rightly said, longevity is genetic, but there may not be a way to say which parent you will take after. I hope that you lead a healthy lifestyle that includes a well-balanced diet and exercise for at least 20 minutes every day.
