Should I Take OTC Testosterone?

By Peter Hibberd, M.D.   |   Thursday, 28 Mar 2013 10:24 AM

Question: I have been told I have low testosterone. Do the over-the-counter testosterone production stimulators work?

Dr. Hibberd’s answer:

The over-the-counter testosterone stimulators are a waste of money. There are no redeeming features I see to recommend their use at present.

Testosterone deficiency can be replaced by prescribed injection, topical cream or spray, and regular monitoring is important.
