U.S. Treasury debt prices extended gains Thursday afternoon as stocks and commodities prices fell, and the 30-year Treasury bond briefly traded over a full point higher in price.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield dipped 4.26 percent, marking the lowest since early January. After briefly trading over a point higher in price, the 30-year bond settled back to trade 30/32 higher in price to yield 4.27 percent, down from 4.32 percent late Wednesday.
