Detroit Retirees, Union to Attack Bankruptcy Decision at Hearing

Detroit’s $18 billion bankruptcy should be thrown out because retirees and city workers never had a chance to negotiate with Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr before he filed the case, attorneys are set to argue at a hearing in federal court that began today.
