1. Online Hunting Course
All hunters in Nevada born after Jan. 1, 1960, are required by the Nevada Department of Wildlife to pass a hunter certification course to be eligible to hunt in the state. Online hunting courses make completing this course easier from the comfort of your laptop, computer, or other electronic device. One of the most popular providers of these courses is the Nevada Hunter's Ed Course. It is approved by NDOW and meets the standards of the International Hunter Education Association.

2. Nevada Department of Wildlife Website
The NDOW is the state agency overseeing all hunting and wildlife activities in Nevada. Its website is comprehensive, offering resources ranging from hunting and fishing licenses info, to mobile hunting apps to maps of hunting areas throughout the state and the top 10 big-game tag application resources for Nevada hunters.

3. HUNT App
HUNT is a free Google app that can be used with the GPS on an Android phone when hunting both private and public lands. View the names of landowners, discover your location within property and hunting unit boundaries, and cache aerial imagery and topographic base maps that you can use offline. Base maps enable you to see lakes, roads, rivers and topography in the region where sportsmen are or will be hunting while enabling them to access maps of the area's national forest roads and motor vehicle roads and trails.

4. Hunt Predictor
Available on the Android market and in the iPhone app store, this app uses several scientific weather variables to detect and forecast wildlife movement for deer, waterfowl, and turkeys. Hunt Predictor's philosophy is "Location matters, and it matters most when you want to know when to hunt or know where to hunt."

5. iHunt Journal
Billing itself as "the ultimate all-in-one hunting app," iHunt Journal allows hunters to record any and all hunting information – hunting stand locations, past and present hunts, notes, trophies, and weather to name a few – and helps them manage everything along with researching and planning hunting expeditions. Available on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones.
