"A friendly, fun, and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was willing to answer questions and make you feel right at home. If I wasn't already an instructor, I'd feel great coming here for classes. Gun selection is good, and the indoor range is the nicest I've seen outside Manchester, NH (and even then, I can't definitively say which is better)."

2. Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club: Located in Harrisville, this facility includes outdoor rifle and pistol ranges, an indoor pistol range, skeet shooting, trap shooting and an archery range. There is also a banquet hall and outdoor pavilion. The club has been serving sports enthusiasts for more than 50 years and offers educational classes.

"My friend and I took part in the pistol training yesterday for we ladies," writes a reviewer on Facebook. "Everyone made us feel comfortable and safe. I learned a lot, and just wanted to say thank you!"

3. Tiverton Rod and Gun Club: Located in Tiverton, these outdoor ranges feature 13 shooting stations with five including shooting stalls, target trolleys and adjustable shooting benches. There are also indoor shooting facilities, archery ranges and trap fields.
