Nevada ranks 22nd in a 2014 list of the best states for gun owners compiled by Guns and Ammo. "Although the state does not register firearms of any type, Clark County (Las Vegas) requires handgun owners to register their handguns if they spend more than 60 days there." The state received a good score of 42 out of 50 based on right to carry laws, restrictions on sporting rifles, National Firearms Act rights, Castle Doctrine and a miscellaneous category.

Here are six spots for firearms and pistol practice in the state of Nevada:

1. Strip Gun Club: This is the only gun range on the Las Vegas strip. According to the site, "You'll forget all about the slots and tables the moment you pull the rifle handles on our double doors." The facility provides two private VIP pistol lanes and five rifle lanes. One lane has a built-in mounting turret for a .50 caliber chrome plated machine gun named "the mother of all machine guns."
