On the website for the British documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle," questions such as, "How has a theory which demonstrably lacks really solid supporting evidence become an indisputable fact?" are posed. These questions are followed by the statement that "the film made a humble stab at suggesting some possible answers, but there was limited space for these bigger questions."

Given that the documentary dealt with the controversial and complicated issue of whether global warming is caused by human activity, there is no doubt that time and space constraints left some questions unanswered and the issue of climate change remains one that generates intense discussion.

"The Great Global Warming Swindle" was received by both climate change activists and skeptics with great interest and after its initial 2007 release on British television; the documentary was "expanded and improved" before it was released on DVD. According to the producers, the reaction to the documentary was "overwhelming and enormously encouraging." They believe this is because the coverage of global warming by the media has been one-sided in support of anthropogenic climate change, and that the film was a relief to those who do not subscribe to the theory to have the other side of the issue presented.

Here are some public opinion comments posted about "The Great Global Warming Swindle:"

"What a great documentary! Interesting and so well done, and very convincing. All of the scientists, and everyone interviewed, spoke in terms that a non-scientific person could easily understand. If you are looking for both sides of the issue, however, you won't get it from this."  – Lauriesheri, Top Documentary Films commentor

"While healthy debate about global issues is important, this film is quite clearly lopsided and continues to blur the public debate on the issue of global climate change. It makes the absurd claim that most climate scientists are sell-outs (protecting their own careers) but that the naysayers are free from bias (despite being funded by big energy companies)." – D. Stuntebeck "stunt," reviewer on Amazon

"Overall, its format is very compelling; it compiles the facts in a straightforward manner, building to a conclusion which is remarkable in its discrepancy with the man-made global warming theory. It touches on many different aspects of the issue, including some which many will find surprising, such as the impact on developing nations. I was expecting a shoddy piece of work, full of half-truths and outrageous assumptions, but this film is very scientific and professional. I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in the subject." – Steve5805, IMDb user

"This one of worst documentaries that I have seen. I'm a chemist and I accept the main proposal of this documentary 'the CO2 amount is not related with the Global warming', they (sic) theories that they provided in the documentary could be true. However does this give us the right to produce it in big amounts?" – litaschz, IMDB user
