1. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Website

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources online portal includes links to campsites; emergency information; boat, snowmobile and ATV registration; and the latest news for anglers.

There are also pages for buying and renewing fishing licenses, learning about invasive species, and keeping up with the latest regulations. There's also a searchable list (by county) of Wisconsin's inland lakes' fishing regulations provided by the United States Geological Survey.

2. Official Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Mobile App

In partnership with Pocket Ranger, the Wisconsin DNR has created the Official Guide for Wisconsin's Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife app built for both Android and Apple mobile devices, and can be found on such devices respectively at either Google Play or the App Store.

The free app promises to help "locate Wisconsin's fishing, hunting and wildlife watching sites and gain immediate access to on-the-spot species profiles, rules, regulations, and permit and license details."

3. iFish Wisconsin

The third-party iFish Wisconsin app is touted as "the most advanced fishing app on the market, providing an intuitive guide to fishing in Wisconsin."

Besides maps and map searches, it includes fishing calendars, weather forecasts and lake reports, fishing tips, access to licensing and regulation, and a log in which to track your fish, mark your favorite fishing spots, and store images of licenses and receipts.

The iFish Wisconsin mobile app is available to purchase for Android- and iOS-powered devices.

4. Fishidy

This mobile app includes depth contour information about lakes, along with the ability to log your catches.

The developer claims that Fishidy was "recently ranked No. 2 on World Fishing Network’s list of 'Top Mobile Fishing Apps.'"

The mobile app is free, but premium upgrades with added features can be purchased also at Google Play or the App Store. There is also a Pro version for Android that is not free.

5. Wisconsin Fishing Maps

Wisconsin Fishing Maps from iFishy.com is based on Google Maps, and is available for purchase for Android and iOS mobile devices. Wisconsin Fishing Maps is a combination map, log, and chat application.
